Our Laser swimmers did very well at the All-Star Relay meet at RMSC in
Rockville!
The
11-12 Boys Medley Relay (Mathieu Landry, Kenny Afolabi-Brown, Greg
Afolabi-Brown and Matthew
Frohman) placed first in their event with a time of 2:26.19, dropping an
impressive 4.35 seconds off their seed time.
The 11-12 Mixed Freestyle Relay (Greg Afolabi-Brown, Lauren Nelson,
Katie Anderson and Kenny Afolabi-Brown) came in third with a time of
2:13.20, also dropping an impressive amount - 4.25 seconds - from their seed
time. Congratulations to these swimmers for their efforts in the pool
today. Those are great improvements in times and a fantastic way to
end the season!
Sunday was another great day overall for the Lasers at RMSC! Here are
the results:
Audrey Tirrell - 10th place in Girls 9-10 50m free
(33.32)(team record)
8th place in Girls 9-10 25m back (18.77)
Rachel Johnson - 7th place in Girls 9-10 25m back
(18.67)(personal best)
Alicia Nelson - 13th place in Girls 15-18 50m fly
(31.47)
Ryan Frohman - 8th place in Boys 9-10 25m breast
(20.54)(personal best)
Kenny Afolabi-Brown - 12th place in Boys 11-12 50m free
(30.43)
8th place in 50m breast (38.45)
Greg Afolabi-Brown - as alternate, did not get to swim,
but won 1st place in sideline sleeping!

It was great to have so many swimmers
represent us at both All-Star meets and great that they all did so well -
congratulations to them and to all our swimmers on a season filled with best
times and personal improvement!
